  • Fluency in modern, best-practice PHP & web languages
  • Strong experience with Magento 2 in recent versions (certification is a major plus, but not required)
  • Strength in architecting modular, decoupled software systems
  • Expertise in secure coding practices
  • Ability to communicate technical matters clearly, both speaking and writing
  • Ability to quickly grasp novel environments and requirements, working efficiently and independently

The focus of this position will be custom application functionality, though because some occasional frontend theme work will be required as well, a reasonable design sense and attention to visual detail are also significant factors. We have some flexibility in how this role fits into the team, so the exact balance of frontend vs. backend work can be adjusted.

Initially this position would be focused on Magento to support immediate needs, but over time there would be the possibility of working on other platforms as well, including Shopify and custom serverless ecommerce.


We are a remote-first company open to applicants anywhere in the United States, though we prefer a location in the Eastern or Central time zones. We are primarily looking to engage with an independent contractor on a 1099 basis, but we are also open to considering the right candidate as an employee.
