As a Magento Architect, you are responsible for interpreting client requirements, business processes, and use cases to produce quality technical designs in the implementation, enhancement, and support of commerce projects. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert and communicative Magento Lead Developer or Architect who understands the agency/client dynamic. Support our Sales Engineers and Business Development Managers in the sales process by communicating with prospective clients about our processes, potential solution architectures and estimations. As a Magento Architect, you will have exceptional communication skills, a high level of accountability, and desire to provide best in class commerce solutions to your clients.

Responsibilities Interpret client requirements, business processes, and use cases to produce quality technical designs in the implementation, enhancement and support of Magento centric commerce projects Work closely with clients and internal team members to understand the client’s business and their existing use of the Magento platform Design complete solutions for web applications and integration techniques, extensions or enhancements to the platform Document using technical specification and diagrams that will stand as reference to the development team for building the solution as well as hand-off to our support team prior to launch Provide updates throughout the development cycle As the Magento subject matter expert you will share knowledge with your team and help mentor newer developers Share new ideas and techniques that are relevant to the commerce space Participate in internal process improvements to our software development life cycle Have the ability to fully understand code and help developers troubleshoot code issues, algorithms and know how to leverage object oriented technique
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field 3+ years of technical architect/lead developer experience with Magento 3+ years in an agency partner setting 10 years of programming/development experience is required 2+ years of experience in a client facing role Ability to lead and manage discussions and communicate to a wide range of audiences Manage time and priorities effectively without day-to-day oversight Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and different approaches to it Self-driven and motivated Exceptional communication skills Flexible schedule that accommodates up to 25% travel Preferred Magento 2 Professional Developer Plus certification
