About

We are ramping up growth and we are looking for a talented Senior Magento Developer to help us. We have a great team, strategy, and product in place, but we need your help executing. The perfect candidate for this role will be a self-starter who craves learning new things. You can context switch without skipping a beat and toggle between analysis/problem solving and creative thinking. More importantly, you will get the opportunity to work with and learn from a team of true leaders! About the Role The Sr. Developer is responsible for designing and developing the technical details of our ecommerce solutions. You will be responsible for selecting the technical components of a solution, estimating the work, and leading the development team. You will take on the most challenging development tasks for yourself while mentoring less experienced team members. You will often be the most senior technical resource on your projects. We expect you to be very familiar with the features and administration of Magento, with several Magento 1 and Magento 2 projects under your belt. You are able to quickly map the client’s business needs to the most appropriate components and third party integrations. You’ll be the key technical point of contact for our clients, able to convincingly explain why our proposed solution is the best approach. A key part of this role is knowing when to push back on a client’s requirements in order to help them reduce the complexity and cost of a solution. A big part of our strategy is our reusable code library - a set of high quality solution components than enables us to deliver our solutions more quickly and with lower risk. You will be the primary owner of this initiative, identifying new components to add to the library and ensuring that existing components are used effectively on new projects whenever possible.

Requirements: You are an expert in Magento and have helped create or manage several successful online stores in the past. While you are not a marketer, you know the industry’s best practices and can contribute to the overall recommendations for the best performing online store. You understand how your design decisions impact SEO, conversion rate, and site performance. You’ve worked for agencies in the past and your clients love you. You’re a bit of a salesperson, able to clearly and convincingly articulate technical recommendations to clients. You know how to work with multiple clients at once and how to deal with all the typical client-related pressures and personalities. You are obsessed with client satisfaction. You can take ownership of a technical implementation, from architecture to development to hosting. You know more about Magento than most people, and you can really make the product sing. You’re very familiar with the third party ecosystem of themes, libraries, plugins, and integrations. You likely have multiple Magento certifications and several years of experience working with the Magento platform. You are an accomplished PHP developer as well, able to develop new modules and customizations when necessary.
